In his recent visit to Tasmania, President Elect Chris Stephens came across a project by RC Scottsdale that converts a disused rail line into a trail for walking, horse riding and cycling.
A similar project is being instigated by Mudgee bush walking club. DGE Brian Coffey also pointed out a similar project by Rotary clubs in Newcastle and Kurri Kurri for the Kurri Kurri to Hexham rail line, with a possibility of support from a foundation grant.
