A Short History of the Charter of the Rotary Club of Mudgee

The Rotary Club of Mudgee is the third oldest in the current Rotary District 9670, which covers an area extending from Newcastle to Bourke. It is the fourth oldest in the Central West after Bathurst, Dubbo and Orange.

The Rotary Club of Mudgee was sponsored by the Bathurst Rotary Club. Mudgee Rotary later sponsored the Rotary Clubs of Rylstone and Mudgee Sunrise as well as the Rotary Club of Gulgong, which became the 2852 Club. Mudgee Rotary also sponsored the formation of Mudgee Probus.

Since the establishment of club in 1937, the activities of the Rotary Club of Mudgee have reflected the values, needs and aspirations of the Mudgee district and surrounding areas. In recent years, the Rotary Club of Mudgee have also helped other communities around Australia and around the world, extending hands to improve the life of many and participate to improve connections and understanding among people.

Mudgee Rotary have continued a long tradition by giving for medical/health causes, helping various community organisations, youth and education and assisting in both national and international disasters.

Not only are the Mudgee Rotarians giving 100% from fundraising events, but all members also contribute their own money via membership and weekly collections at meeting to various causes. Moreover, they volunteer their time in all activities.
