The Rotary Club of Mudgee has been active in the Community in December 2020 with donations to local community organisation, We Care, for assistance to families in the area during the Christmas period and with donations to local schools to recognise Numeracy and Literacy achievement by outstanding local students.
Becki Martin, a very nervous volunteer from WE CARE, stepped in at short notice to give a very impressive talk to our Club on the work of We Care, lead by Donna Collins and her team. Becki was then the recipient of a donation from the Club, towards their important work in the community. Member Peter Brennan presented Becki with a $500 donation.
Mudgee PS and Mudgee HS, Cudegong Valley PS and St. Matthews Catholic School all recieved donations for Achievement Awards in Numeracy and Literacy in 2020. Unfortunately, Members were not able to be present to awards these prizes due to Covid-19 restrictions but the Rotary Club of Mudgee offers congratulations to all recipients.
