At the meeting on the 26th October 2017, Garry Connelly reported that he
greeted the first contingent of volunteers (including 3 exchange students) from Corrimal Rotary Club.
The Club are lending a hand to residents impacted by the February
bushfires. Garry, with assistance from Council, was able to organise accommodation for the volunteers in Cassilis Community Hall and free shower facilities with the local hotel.
A further 6-7 Club members were expected to arrive on Saturday 30th October and in total it is estimated the volunteers will be able to provide approximately 700 hours of assistance to local residents.
