The partner’s night on Tuesday drew the largest attendance so far. We had guests including Karen Webb and Graham Peggs.

Our guest speaker, Barbara Hickson spoke about conservation of old buildings.

Barbara has been working on the field for 25 years. Her role is as an advisor to local councils, individuals or organisations around the central west region. The types of advice she provides include  conservation, heritage impacts and new addition or new building in a heritage area.

Barbara showed some examples of heritage work (houses, commercial premises, etc) that she has been involved with in Bathurst, Mudgee and other area.

Conservation is also involved when repairing headstone of graves. Barbara shared some books that she has written on the topic.

Meanwhile, it’s worth mentioning that during the fine session, Sharon enlightened us with a funniest domestic feud about Tim losing his hearing aid.
