mherv – ‘Men’s Health Education Rural Van’ is a Rotary project. It is a purpose-built caravan with two consulting rooms that has toured multiple centres in NSW since August 2017. It has a full time Registered Nurse who, with the assistance of local community nurses, conducts health tests among rural men.
An initiative of the two Mudgee Rotary clubs, MHERV visited Mudgee, once again, on 23-24 February 2023.
Based at Bunnings, the visit was a huge success with 72 people presenting for free health checks over the two days.
A massive thank you to Bunnings for their support and the local Rotary club members who assisted the project.
The van is planned to return to Mudgee in 2024.
