In last week’s meeting, our Community Service director, Peter Brennan gathered volunteers for the Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV).
On the event days, the 15th and 16th June 2018, clubs members braved the chill winter days and attended the van to provide assistance. Rob Wolley who is an experienced nurse, working at hospitals on the sunshine coast area, has been driving the van across NSW visiting 29 towns and has performed health checks on more than 1250 patients. Moreover, Rob also does maintenance of any mechanical issues with the van.
Mudgee is the last stop on this route. A new route will begin again later, from near Queensland border.
