It was a pleasure to welcome back Eddie Rava to our club last week. Eddie was our outbound Rotary Youth Exchange student, spending 12 months living and studying in Belgium.
Eddie spoke enthusiastically about his exchange and described Belgium as the “best country in the world”.
Eddie stayed with three host families during his exchange and had the opportunity to travel to 11 countries with the favourite destinations being
Prague, Croatia and Scotland. Other memorable moments included the Anzac Day ceremony at Menin Gate.
Geoff Dear provided the vote of thanks to Eddie and offered the Club’s best wishes for his future endeavours. Clearly, Eddie values the RYE experience as a life changing experience and he remains a fine ambassador of the Rotary Youth Exchange program and the benefits that it offers.
